Agility is broken down into three primary components:  Agility Framework, Agility Content Server and Agility Content Manager.  An Agility website uses the Content Server to retrieve content using the Framework.

Agility Framework

An library file (Agility.Web.dll) that is used to communicate between the website and the Content Server. This component is a part of your website and is hosted with your website.

Agility Content Server
A server application that retrieves content from the Agility Content Store and delivers it to the website.  This component is in the cloud.

Agility Content Manager
A web application that content editors use to manage Agility Content. This component is in the cloud.

Agility Managed Website
This is the website that you create to take advantage of the Agility content management capabilities.  The site can be developed in Microsoft Visual Studio or the free WebMatrix development tool.

The Agility Website is hosted at your data center of choice on a Microsoft Windows Server hosting environment or in the Windows Azure cloud.  Click here for the full specs on what is required to host your Agility site.
